Design features

DIESEL Keeper ASD A Series 3 for CATERPILLAR Anti-Siphon Device that fits on the diesel tank inlet of Caterpillar machines where the tank inlet has a steel lip underneath the diesel cap that will allow for this ASD's rotating arms to slide under and secure the ASD upon tightening of the snap-off screws. The top grid has a honeycomb shape inside the fill neck, and the bottom grid has a similarly sized honeycomb shape.  The top flange has eleven narrow slots around the circumference of the neck to allow for air to escape as the tank is filled. The top flange also has two holes and one diagonal slot that can be used for checking the fuel level with a dip stick. 

The flange has three sets of two additional holes that are designed to hold the three snap off screws. The device also comes with three pins welded onto the bottom of the flange. These three pins serve to secure the included rotating arms into an extended, lock position upon installation. The unit also comes with three washers that ensure that the rotating arms turn into the extended, lock position for permanently securing the ASD by the time that the snap-off screws are ready to snap off. Each of the three washers go on the snap off screws between the bottom of the devices flange and the extension arm into which the snap-off screw screws into.

At the bottom of the device there are ten flow slots. The Device comes with a built in filler neck extension. The diameter of the upper flange is approximately 3.55" (90mm) and the device is about 3.875" (98mm) tall when measured from the bottom flow grid to the top of the flange. 

The Device is designed to fit into the diesel tank with the top being just about flush with the diesel tanks steel lip that can be found underneath the diesel cap. One can continue to use the machines existing diesel cap. Any diesel screen below the diesel cap would need to be removed to allow for fitting and installation of the unit.
